On December 8th, 2009 the new website www.vevo.com launched, which is a video on-demand service for only music videos. On Vevo you get access to over 20,000 High Quality videos, interviews, behind the scenes and live performances from all music companies, including Universal and Sony Records (WHO ARE NOT ON YOUTUBE). Why didn’t MTV start this YEARS AGO? Will this bring interest to vevo.com or will people still search YouTube when it is so much easier to get ONLY music videos on vevo? Give me your opinion. i think it will bring interest because it’s better and easier to search on vevo than youtube but most people are used to using youtube so it will be hard to switch to vevo

i think that people will keep using youtube because it has been aroung for a long time and if people put there videos on there and they do not want to move them then swich the sits that is just stupid to do thatpeople will do ,that and if they do that mean they would have stared a account for no reason and if yhey have a youtube account there would be no reason to swich now!!!!!
its good for music but youtube can be anything. even music. vevo is only music when youtube has music videos and others like vevo. vevo is hd though. youtube is not a whole lot of hd. so vevo is good for music videos in hd. youtube shows anything in regular quality but not alot of hd. vevo wins in hd and music. youtube only has a random subject videos. people will still use youtube. just not for music.
I like YouTube better because it has more things, other than just more music. Also because YouTube is more popular. Most people dont really know about the Vevo because it is more new. Some people might like YouTube better also though because it is more older so it is kind of more well known. YouTube also has more better videos and more that are added everyday so there is always new videos. Also it has any video that you want. I have never really got on Vevo personally because I didnt know about it until now so thats how you can tell its new. So I think I still will like YouTube better but I might end up trying Vevo since I have never.
No. Youtube will always be on top of that. People search on that Everyday. Videos Aren’t the only thing that gives youtube buzz. People go there to listen to music to. That means youtube has twice the buzz. I Love youtube. I Go there every day and every one know else does to. youtube rocks.
I think that people will use vevo.com but will still continue to use youtube.com. Yes, vevo.com is cool. Vevo.com gives you two things youtube doesn’t. But youtube.com gives you a various selection of options. Youtube.com has been around for a very long time and I don’t think thats vevo.com can change that. I don’t think any website can change that. Vevo is cool for if you want to watch Music Videos. But you can’t look up stuff like The Gummy Bear Video; like you can on youtube.com. But I think people will use vevo.com.
they will go to vevo because it is only music videos. they take longer to search on youtube than on vevo. you can get to music videos faster.they will want to go to youtube only for videos. i feelk that people will still use youtube because of people being able to put their own videos on there.but i also feel that vevo.com will adtract more people because it is newer and easier.also maybe mtv wanted to wait to surprizes us in 2010 with something outstanding and entertaining.but personally if it was me id just use the vevo.com.1 because it is newer and more active.2 is because it only has music and with youtube nothing intrests me so id just stick to the simply stuff and use vevo.com

I think that people would use this new ‘vevo’ website but they would still use youtube just as much as any other website that they would make. I also think that the reason they waited to make this website is becuase everyone was so uptight with youtube.

It makes sense not to go to youtube if you only wanted music videos. So vevo.com is the best things that has ever happened to music videos.
I think people will still use youtube because its not only for music videos. Youtube can be used to look up how to beat a part on a game. Youtube can be used to look up highlights on a sports player. Youtube can be used to look up movie trailers and game trailers. I think people will not start using this web site more than youtube because youtube can be used for alot of things and people no it better than VeVo.

Well, I think maybe both. They might go on vevo.com to watch the music videos. They also could go to youtube and watch more things than just music videos. There two different sites. youtube searches almost anything. Sure people might go to vevo more. The only reason they might go there more is because they might have better music videos. You know since thats all they have. I think they will both be or stay popular.

This could attract people to vevo but it depends. If they want nothing but music then vevo would be perfect. But people dont only use youtube for music, you can also veiw videos and teachers at school sometimes go to youtube to show us a video of the lesson(s) that we are being taugh in class . Well i really have no idea why mtv couldnt start this years ago. its really cool yeah. it is cool to see interviews and stuff. A few days ago i went on youtube and i was listening to music and it had like vevo and i was like “Whats this???” because usually youtube is just youtube and not any other website with it. i scrolled up to type in a different song and i noticed it had where you can like watch the video with lyrics and it was really cool so why mtv didnt start this i still dont know but i think they will probably invent something like it if Vevo goes good so of course theyll want something like it for more publicity and stuff how else will they get money???

I think that people would like it better than youtube. I think that people would like vevo over youtube because everyday something new about a celebrity comes up and everyday people look ion youtube to try to find out more news on it but they wound up getting the wrong information that they wanted. Behind the scense are what everybody wants to see now and days. we want to see how things work, why they work that way and how we can join in the fun. If vevo will help us and also give celebrities the credit they need, than we will all be happy.
i think people will start using both because one has music video and people dancing and singing and the other has just music videos. im not sure really i think they will listen to youtube and vevo. people will probably listen to vevo for a whil then switch back to youtube. it is possible that might happen.
